As a family owned business trusted since 1950, the personal touch is something that Drakes are proud of. The workshop team, consisting of Kim, Rob and Rachel, have a wealth of experience between them, so you can be confident that your jewellery is in safe hands. Kim has over ten years’ experience in the industry while Rob, goldsmith and jewellery designer, has over 18 years’ experience and a real flair for creating bespoke pieces. Rachel, the newest member of the team, is on hand to administer your repairs and answer any queries you may have during the repair process. They all work tirelessly to ensure that your sentimental items leave the workshop looking their very best.
Drakes Jewellery Hospital has the capability to carry out numerous repairs in house including: ring resizing, watch repair, stone replacement, re-rhodium coating, and re-designing to name just a few. Not only does Drakes carry out alterations and repairs, the team also offer a bespoke jewellery design service. Sit down and discuss your designs with Rob, who will use his experience to capture the essence of your piece. Computer aided design techniques are used to create a life-like, accurate visualisation of your design so that you can see and approve it before Rob gets to work. It’s even possible to produce a 3D printed wax model of your chosen item for you to try on before production.
