Our choice of cosy getaways in Devon.
This month, our selection of wonderful seaside stays takes us to Noss Mayo, Blackdown Hills and Southleigh.
Point Cottage, Noss Mayo
Point Cottage is nestled in the highly sought after village of Noss Mayo and, situated in a prime position overlooking the Yealm Estuary, affords stunning water views from every room. The picturesque village of Noss Mayo is surrounded by countryside and is a pleasure to explore. Here you’ll find colourful cottages and winding streets, waterside pubs serving great local seafood and yachts bobbing on the water. The sheltered creek is also ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding and many more water based activities, if you’re feeling adventurous!

Thatched combines exposed beams and brickwork with contemporary décor – all three bedrooms have en-suite facilities, the beds have crisp Egyptian cotton and fluffy white towels await you in the modern bath/shower rooms. All of this, not to mention the cool slate flooring in summer and underfloor heating and woodburners in winter that ensure year-round comfort.
The sitting room has big squashy sofas and the oak and granite kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, large fridge and gorgeous views over the stunning valley. Enjoy an al-fresco glass of wine on a summer’s day and fire up the gas barbeque for a delicious lunch outdoors. Then challenge your family to a match of table tennis in the games room or take a dip in the outdoor heated pool.
